<p><strong>SALES AGENTS</strong> needed for a call center in Kearny Mesa. Will be handling incoming calls and selling Individual Health as well as Ancillary Insurance (Dental &amp; Vision, Critical Illness, etc.) This call center is expected to get in 1800 leads per day from internet advertising and the leads are real-time leads. There is <strong>NO COLD CALLING</strong>. You will be working with all the major carriers: Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Healthcare, etc.</p>
<p><strong>REQUIRED:</strong>  Qualified candidates must hold an active Life/Health license, have strong closure skills and expert computer skills. Regular and prompt attendance is mandatory for this job.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>DURATION</strong>:  Positions are temp-to-hire.</li>
<li><strong>PAY</strong>:  Hourly pay is $10/hr for the first 9 weeks and then goes to $8/hr OR commission only, whichever is greater. (Commission is not offered during the Temp-to-Hire time frame of 9 weeks. Commission is based on revenue so can be 10% &#8211; 40%. For example: you may have 3 good weeks and one bad week, so the commission is adjusted to help out with the bad week(s). The average sales person is earning $65k. The top sales people are earning $110k &#8211; $120k.)</li>
<li><strong>HOURS: </strong> Monday &#8211; Thursday, 9:30am &#8211; 6:30pm and Friday, 9:00am &#8211; 4:00pm.</li>
<li><strong>TRAINING:</strong>  Hired candidates will be required to attend a training class for three days prior to working in the call center. This is paid training.</li>
<li><strong>OTHER:</strong>  All Employees are W-2 Employees. 401(k) is offered after 1 year of employment, with a company match up to 4%. Health Benefits are offered after 90 days of employment. The company will pay ½ the health benefits.</li>

<p><em><strong>JOB DETAILS:</strong></em>  Direct hire opportunity for a Company Payables clerk for an insurance agency in the central San Diego area.  Position is responsible for compiling and maintaining carrier accounts payable records. Processes checks, generates monthly reports, and assists the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor as necessary. Acts as liaison between the agency and insurance companies.  This position will pay up to $42,000 per year, depending on experience.</p>
<p><em><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></em></p>

<li>Generates and distribute checks written from the Company&#8217;s trust account;</li>
<li>Generates the monthly account current statement or report of bookings as required;</li>
<li>Reconciles and correct discrepancies between the Company and the insurance company&#8217;s statement or account current;</li>
<li>Notifies the servicing producer of any accounting irregularities;</li>
<li>Ensures the insurance companies are paid in an accurate and timely manner;</li>
<li>Assists the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor in the reconciliation of company payable to the general ledger;</li>
<li>Other Duties as assigned to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organization.</li>
</ul>
<p><em><span style="color: #0000ff"><strong>REQUIRED</strong></span><strong>:</strong>  </em>High school diploma or GED. 2 &#8211; 4 years of experience with <span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="color: #000000"><strong>INSURANCE ACCOUNTING</strong></span></span>! Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of accounting terms. Familiar with word processing and spreadsheet software. Ability to file and operate general office equipment. Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork.  Regular and prompt attendance is mandatory for this job.</p>

<p><em><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Processes checks payable to the Company&#8217;s trust and operating accounts;</li>
<li>Deposits checks and posts to appropriate customer accounts or general ledger accounts;</li>
<li>Deposits direct bill cash receipts, based on the accompanying statements, posts commissions to the direct bill cash receipts screen;</li>
<li>Researches all commissions received without policy number to determine which producer should receive commission;</li>
<li>Follows up with insurance companies and unpaid commission or other accounting problems that arise within the scope of the position;</li>
<li>Handles all requests for account corrections and/or transfers;</li>
<li>Prepares and distributes daily Cash Receipts to Producers;</li>
<li>Prepares month end reconciliations and reports;</li>
<li>Notifies Account Managers of all NSF checks and stop payments;.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff"><em><strong>REQUIRED</strong></em></span>:  4-year college degree in Accounting.  2 &#8211; 4 years of recent accounts receivable experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize workload. Basic knowledge of accounting terms. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Ability to file and operate general office equipment. Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork.  Regular and prompt attendance is mandatory for this job.</p>
