New Statewide Commercial Recycling Law Goes Into Effect July 1, 2012

May 23rd, 2012

May 22, 2012 – All California businesses that generate four cubic yards or more of solid waste per week, and multifamily residential dwellings with five or more units, are required to start recycling by July 1, according to a new state law passed last year. Cities are also obligated to start implementing “education, outreach and monitoring” of a mandatory commercial recycling program by the deadline.  Click here for the complete article by Sean Belk of the Long Beach Business Journal.

Monthly Job Highlight: Sales Agents, Job 42NL

Job # 42NL – SALES AGENTS

SALES AGENTS needed for a call center in Kearny Mesa. Will be handling incoming calls and selling Individual Health as well as Ancillary Insurance (Dental & Vision, Critical Illness, etc.) This call center is expected to get in 1800 leads per day from internet advertising and the leads are real-time leads. There is NO COLD CALLING. You will be working with all the major carriers: Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Healthcare, etc.

REQUIRED:  Qualified candidates must hold an active Life/Health license, have strong closure skills and expert computer skills. Regular and prompt attendance is mandatory for this job.

  • DURATION:  Positions are temp-to-hire.
  • PAY:  Hourly pay is $10/hr for the first 9 weeks and then goes to $8/hr OR commission only, whichever is greater. (Commission is not offered during the Temp-to-Hire time frame of 9 weeks. Commission is based on revenue so can be 10% – 40%. For example: you may have 3 good weeks and one bad week, so the commission is adjusted to help out with the bad week(s). The average sales person is earning $65k. The top sales people are earning $110k – $120k.)
  • HOURS:  Monday – Thursday, 9:30am – 6:30pm and Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm.
  • TRAINING:  Hired candidates will be required to attend a training class for three days prior to working in the call center. This is paid training.
  • OTHER:  All Employees are W-2 Employees. 401(k) is offered after 1 year of employment, with a company match up to 4%. Health Benefits are offered after 90 days of employment. The company will pay ½ the health benefits.
