This position requires 4+ years experience working in a similar position in a broker environment. The Employee Benefits Specialist will work with the account services team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include: Assisting clients with claims, billing, and eligibility questions, prepare RFPs, follow up on quotes and communicate with carrier reps, prepare benefit comparisons for medical and ancillary products, update/prepare Census information, process enrollment changes/terminations, assist clients with provider comparisons and work with team members as necessary.
The ideal candidate will: Be a motivated, positive team player. Have experience with the marketing and underwriting process for benefits with multiple carriers. Be able to follow up on multiple tasks & meet deadlines in an organized manor. Be detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills. This is a smaller size credit union so the Operations Manager must be very knowledgeable in all areas of managing a credit union. This position reports directly to the President.
